HIRUDOID® FORTE Gel – Powerful against superficial phlebitis and bruises
They are uncomfortable for everyone: swollen veins that lead to varicose veins. While they can theoretically occur in any vein in the body, in 90% of cases they affect the legs.
Unfortunately, these vein diseases are among the most common illnesses in Germany. Women are affected two to four times more often than men. However, only about 12 percent of those affected develop severe varicose veins that require treatment.
In most cases, sufficient exercise, avoiding excessive heat such as saunas or sunbathing, and alternating hot and cold showers to stimulate circulation are effective measures to prevent and alleviate symptoms. The tried and tested principle of “better to lie or walk than to sit or stand” also helps to reduce the risk of vein disease. HIRUDOID® FORTE helps in the healing of superficial vein diseases.
HIRUDOID® FORTE is available as a cream and a cooling gel. Each (100 g) of both dosage forms contains 445 mg chondroitin polysulfate. To activate the calf muscle pump, both the cream and the gel should be massaged gently in the direction of the heart.
