clothing
Wear traditional Bavarian clothes to participate~
If you want to better integrate into the Munich Oktoberfest, it is recommended that you prepare traditional Bavarian clothing in advance. The clothing for men and women is different:
- Boys : The name of the clothing is Lederhose, which means short brown leather pants . It is usually paired with a plaid shirt, white socks, brown leather shoes, suspenders, vests, etc.
- girl : The name of the dress is Dirndl, a common Alpine girl's dress . It is a one-piece dress composed of a bubble-sleeved top, a vest and an apron. Depending on the person wearing it, it may become a busty outfit. The bow on the apron on the left represents singleness; the right represents marriage; the middle represents a virgin; and the back represents a waitress or a widow.
gourmet food
It is a common sight to see people holding a glass of beer. As long as you want to find someone to toast with, there will always be strangers to accompany you! The beer brewing method strictly follows the " Bavarian Beer Brewing Regulations " established in the 16th century; all beer can only be brewed with the purest ingredients ( water, barley and hops ) to ensure the quality of every cup of beer.
Some Bavarian dishes are served in the tent. The crispy and tender German pork knuckle and the beer with a strong wheat flavor are the best match. The German sausages, roast chicken and pretzels of different flavors are the best side dishes for you to drink with friends from all over the world. The waiters inside are very professional. They take orders, get drinks and collect money, all by themselves!
In addition, the Notre Dame Cathedral with its magnificent and sacred twin towers, the culturally rich Marian Square, and the grain market where you can rest your legs and taste authentic food are all must-see spots.
If you still have energy to travel after the Oktoberfest, the Königssee, Zugspitze, Linderhof Palace and Neuschwanstein Castle near Munich are all popular attractions that you cannot miss!
