Berberil® Dry Eye EDO® Eye Drops with Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose provide rapid lubrication for dry eyes. This eye drop has proven to be particularly effective in relieving minor discomfort as well as soothing irritated eyes.

Indications: For the treatment of dryness of the cornea and conjunctiva ( dry eyes ) caused by tear secretion and tear dysfunction , as well as dry eyes that occur due to local or systemic diseases and insufficient or incomplete eyelid closure, such as can occur in the following cases: This can manifest as burning eyes, foreign body sensation and photophobia in wind, heat and fatigue. Berberil® Dry Eye EDO® Eye Drops are preservative-free and therefore ideal for users who cannot tolerate preservative-free artificial tear alternatives.

Effective tear substitutes
We blink about 14,000 times a day. Every time you blink, a thin layer of tears is distributed over the eyes, keeping the surface of the eyeball smooth, clean and moist, and protecting the eyes from harmful substances. If the amount or composition of the tear film is disturbed, drying of the cornea and conjunctiva can occur, leading to burning, dryness, pressure, and foreign body sensations, as well as sensitivity to light.

Berberil® Dry Eye EDO® Applications

1. Tilt your head back. Use the index finger of one hand to pull the lower eyelid downward.
2. With your other hand, hold the dropper bottle vertically over the eye without touching the eye and place 1 drop into the pulled conjunctival sac.
3. Slowly close your eyes and move them back and forth to ensure that the eye drops are evenly distributed. Close the bottle with the protective cap immediately after each use.

➔ A hard or soft contact lens may be left in the eye while using Berberil® Dry Eye EDO®.

Note: After using Berberil® Dry Eye EDO®, visual acuity and reaction time may be temporarily reduced due to the formation of streaks. During this time you should not take part in road traffic, operate machinery or work without a secure footing.

People who wear soft contact lenses should remove their contact lenses from their eyes before using Berberil® Dry Eye EDO® and reinsert them within approximately 15 minutes after use. It is possible for a hard contact lens to remain in the eye while using Berberil® Dry Eye EDO®.

Do not use this medicine after the expiration date which is stated on the package or packaging. The expiry date is the last day of the specified month.

Active ingredient: Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose
1 ml of solution contains 3.20 mg of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. The viscosity of the solution is between 7 and 11 mPa·s.

The other ingredients are:
Cetrimonium bromide; disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate (Ph.Eur.); sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate; sorbitol (Ph.Eur.); disodium edetate (Ph.Eur.); water for injection.
