Various factors play a role in eye health. This also includes a good supply of nutrients. The body itself cannot produce these vitamins and trace elements – they must therefore be obtained regularly from food.

Doppelherz system's EYE PLUS VISION + PROTECTION + TEAR FILM FORMULA contains in two capsules:

• Selected vitamins and trace elements
• Polyunsaturated fatty acids provide nutrients for the eyes.

The capsules also contain 15 mg lutein + 1 mg zeaxanthin and the omega-6 fatty acid gamma-linolenic acid, as well as vitamins A, C, E, B12, and B6, the omega-3 fatty acid DHA, and the trace elements selenium and zinc. It also contains the plant substances lutein and zeaxanthin. Vitamin A helps maintain normal vision. The cornea can only obtain vitamin A through the tear film. Furthermore, vitamin A supports the maintenance of mucous membranes, including the conjunctiva of the eye. The trace element zinc also helps maintain normal vision. Zinc contributes to normal vitamin A metabolism. The omega-3 fatty acid docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is found in the visual cells of the retina and also plays a role in maintaining normal vision. Lutein and zeaxanthin are mainly found in plant-based foods (e.g., green vegetables). The "macula" of the retina contains high concentrations of lutein and zeaxanthin. The "macula" is located in the center of the back of the eye. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal protein metabolism and the normal functioning of the nervous system. Vitamin B12 helps maintain normal energy metabolism and has a role in cell division. Due to visual processes and continuous exposure to light, the eyes face higher levels of oxidative stress. However, free radicals are also produced during normal visual processes. To break down these free radicals, the body has its own "protective system." The trace elements zinc and selenium, as well as vitamins C and E, help protect cells from oxidative stress.

Tear film – essential for eye health
Normal tear production is also important for the function of the eyes. For example, the tear film prevents the cornea from drying out and removes foreign bodies by flushing. The tear film also provides nourishment for the cornea of our eyes – the tear film is a transport medium for the nutrients the cornea needs.

Recommended dosage:
The daily dose consists of 2 different capsules. Take capsule 1 and capsule 2 once daily with a meal (e.g., breakfast) and sufficient liquid, without chewing.
