How does it work? Homviotensin ® features a carefully coordinated combination of active ingredients from four different medicinal plants: mistletoe (Viscum album), hawthorn (Crataegus), snakeroot (Rauwolfia) and queen of the night (Cactus). Mistletoe contains certain substances (such as lectins, flavonoids, and viscotoxins) that have positive effects on blood pressure. Hawthorn contains flavonoids that can promote blood flow to the myocardium and reduce vascular resistance. Oligomeric proanthocyanidins can also increase the cardiac muscle's pumping power, promote blood flow to the heart and coronary arteries, and reduce the resistance encountered by the heart when pumping blood into blood vessels. Snake root affects the vascular system and the central nervous system. Additionally, snake root has calming and mood-enhancing effects. Queen of the Night contains biogenic amines (the so-called tyramine type), which have a beneficial effect on heart activity. What are Homviotensin® used for?
