Directions:

Start by removing any buildup from your hair using a silicone-free shampoo, such as Khadi Amla Volume Shampoo .

If your hair is bleached, highlighted or heavily stressed, we also recommend pre-coloring your hair with khadi Color Prep so that it absorbs the color evenly.

Pre-treat light blonde, white or grey hair with khadi Color Prep - exposure time 30 to 60 minutes.

Mix the powder in 50 degree hot water . Stir with a whisk until you get a spreadable paste.

Use a brush to apply the natural hair dye evenly to your hair: strand by strand - from ends to tips. Unless you just want to color your roots – then leave them there.

Allow the khadi black to work for 30 to 120 minutes . The longer the herbal hair dye is left to act, the darker the color will be. Restore your natural hair color in just 20 minutes. Then rinse with clean water - you're done.

Do not wash your hair for 24 to 48 hours after coloring, as the final depth of the color develops during this time.
