DHU

The history of DHU begins in Leipzig in 1866 . Various medicines are mainly produced from medicinal plants. Two thirds of the plants needed come from the eco-certified Terra Medica plant near Karlsruhe. With 600 different species, it is the largest group of its kind in Europe.

The plant raw materials have been grown under biologically optimal conditions in Stafford near Karlsruhe for 40 years. The system is eco-certified and therefore 100% chemical-free. Perfect growing conditions, predictable harvest times and the short transport routes from Stafford to the DHU location in Karlsruhe ensure the high quality of both the plant raw material and the final drug. Terra Medica® covers 14.3 hectares and grows 600 different types of medicinal plants, making it the most diverse medicinal plant culture in Europe.
