1. Schloss Hohenstein – Bavaria

The Schloss Hotel Wolfsbrunnen has a storied history. It was built in 1904 by former regional administrator Von Keudel and was used as a relief hospital for the German Wehrmacht during World War II. After the war, it was used by the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA) to house Jewish orphans. It was then taken over by a church, and finally became a recreation center, and was leased by the Federal Border Guard from 1958 to 1961.
It was not until 1969 that the idea of operating the castle as a hotel was conceived. Schlosshotel Wolfsbrunnen opened in 1989. It has since been renovated and restored several times. The hotel has been operating since 2015.

6. Schloss Bensberg – North Rhine-Westphalia
Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg is 14 km from Cologne Cathedral. This magnificent Baroque building was originally built in 1703 and converted into a hotel in 1997. Even the famous German writer Goethe mentioned this building and praised its beauty and wall decorations.
