Lactobact Baby+ is a high-quality probiotic for infants and young children. The characteristics of the products are excellent material selection and excellent workmanship.

The 3 bacterial cultures contained have a positive effect on the bacterial colonization of the intestinal microbiota (gut flora). The gut microbiota plays an important role, especially in early childhood development. Parents should eliminate any imbalance (dysbiosis) or incorrect colonization of the intestine with pathogenic bacteria at an early stage.

Babies born by caesarean section, babies who are not breastfed, and babies who have received antibiotics and other medications in early childhood are particularly susceptible to dysbiosis. During natural childbirth, bacterial colonization begins when vaginal bacteria are swallowed. Children born by caesarean section do not receive this natural protective colonization and ingest bacteria found in the delivery room. Other beneficial, protective bacteria can also be absorbed through breast milk, but industrially produced breast milk substitutes do not contain these bacteria.

The resulting dysbiosis can have various negative health consequences. Common digestive problems such as frequent and recurring diarrhea or constipation. An imbalance in the gut microbiota may also cause intolerances and allergies. Experts also recommend taking probiotics to treat neurodermatitis and other skin problems in children. Researchers have also found that ADHD in children may be linked to gut health.

Many naturopaths recommend Lactobact Baby+ for babies who have this health problem or fall into one of the high-risk groups.

In addition, it is recommended to take Lactobact Baby+ during antibiotic treatment. Antibiotics cannot distinguish between good and bad bacteria, so the entire bacterial population is attacked. There should be at least two hours between taking antibiotics and taking Lactobact Baby+. In this way, the risk of dysbiosis is reduced and pathogenic bacteria cannot settle in the intestinal mucosa.

Why should I choose Lactobacillus Baby+?

Lactobact Baby+ is of exceptionally high quality. The ingredients are carefully controlled, and unlike many probiotic products, potentially harmful fillers and ingredients like titanium dioxide are intentionally avoided.

However, the best feature is that the bacteria in Lactobact BABY+ are protected from stomach acid through patented technology. So-called microencapsulations (Intelicaps) are plant coatings of bacteria at the microscopic level. Only when the pH in the small intestine rises does the coating dissolve and the previously freeze-dried bacteria absorb the liquid, becoming activated and active.

If probiotics cannot resist stomach acid, a large portion of the bacteria will die before reaching the intestines. They cannot colonize the intestine and consuming them has no health effects. If this is the case, even products with extremely high bacteria concentrations will have little effect. The probiotics in Lactobact Baby+ have been specially selected to contain a therapeutically effective concentration of 200 million units per daily dose. The selection of bacterial strains is based on the current state of scientific knowledge from various specialized studies.

Normally, heat poses a threat to the bacteria in probiotics; they die and therefore no longer colonize the intestines after consumption. The coating used in Lactobact Baby+ (Intelicaps) provides reliable heat protection, so the powder can be stirred into bottles or porridge at serving temperature.

The probiotics in Lactobact Baby+ have been supplemented with additional ingredients of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and folic acid (vitamin B9). Both of these vitamins are very important for the development of your baby. Pantothenic acid supports the development of the central nervous system, while folic acid strengthens the immune system. Pregnant women also often have an increased need for both substances.

Why can probiotics maintain intestinal health?

The intestine is the most important immune organ in the human body. It is responsible for approximately 80% of the immune system. If intestinal function is restricted, it can lead to various health consequences for people.

According to the latest scientific discoveries, there are approximately 600 different types of bacteria living in the intestines. These bacteria support our health because they are good bacteria. The development of intestinal bacterial colonization during the first two years of life has a huge impact on life as a whole. The more balanced and diverse the bacteria in your gut, the better it is for supporting your immune system.

Probiotics are products that contain different strains of bacteria that can support our health. These bacteria have been shown to occur naturally in humans on the skin and all mucous membranes, such as the intestinal tract, oral or genital areas.

Bacterial strains have very different properties and they support the body in different ways. Depending on how these strains are combined and their purpose, a distinction can be made between basic probiotics for different age groups and probiotics for specific indications, such as for antibiotic treatment or lowering cholesterol levels.
