Ferro Sanol® Duodenal is approved for use in children aged 6 years and older who are normally iron-deficient and weigh more than 20 kg, as well as for children with severe iron deficiency, such as iron-deficiency anemia. Because replenishing iron stores with 100 mg daily may take three to six months, depending on the severity of the deficiency, a once-daily dose, like Ferro Sanol® Duodenal, is convenient and practical.

Ferro Sanol® Duodenal is approved for use in children aged 6 years and older weighing 20 kg who are normally iron-deficient, as well as in children with severe iron deficiency, such as iron-deficiency anemia. Because replenishing iron stores with 100 mg daily may take three to six months, depending on the severity of the deficiency, a high-dose, once-daily regimen like Ferro Sanol® Duodenal is simple and practical.

In special circumstances, such as those with difficulty swallowing or those following a very strict vegetarian or religious lifestyle, capsules can be taken without the capsule shell. The capsules can be opened and swallowed with a spoon. Always drink plenty of water (a glass) immediately after taking this product. This product is also available in 50 mg capsules with the same formula as Ferro Sanol® Duodenal Mite 50 mg (galenic form).

For all age groups, weight classes, and dose groups, the dose should be adjusted according to the needs of the person being treated, and the response of clinical variables (e.g., hemoglobin, ferritin, transferrin) should be medically monitored.

Mandatory Information:

Indications: Duodenal® is indicated for adults and children aged 6 years and over (weighing at least 20 kg) with iron deficiency (especially iron-deficiency anemia), during pregnancy and lactation, during childhood, during iron-deficient diets, and after acute and chronic blood loss. Adults and children over 6 years old take 1 capsule daily. In case of severe iron deficiency, adults and adolescents over 15 years old or weighing 50 kg may take 2-3 times the dose in the initial stage.

The capsules should be swallowed whole with water. Do not take with coffee, tea, or milk. The capsules may be taken in the morning on an empty stomach (approximately 1 hour before breakfast), or approximately 2 hours before or after a meal.

Be careful to store the product out of reach of children.

Do not use this product after the expiration date printed on the carton or packaging. The expiration date refers to the last day of the month.
