Darmflora plus select contains 8 selected lactic acid bacteria strains, 48 billion high-concentration lactic acid bacteria per day, and B vitamins to strengthen the mucous membranes, such as B. intestinal mucosa 1 bottle . Lactobacilli, also known as enteric bacteria or microbes, are particularly resistant to stomach and bile acids.
Darmflora plus selected by Dr. Wolz is a preparation specially developed for the intestinal mucosa1 . The selected bacterial strains are naturally present in different parts of the human gut. The B vitamins it contains stimulate the mucous membranes1 and support the immune system2 . The capsules can also be used during and after antibiotic treatment.
The gut and intestinal flora
Up to nine meters long and with a surface area equivalent to a tennis court: the intestine is our largest organ. Despite its size, it is equally important to our health. Our gut is home to trillions of microorganisms that help it provide important nutrients to our bodies. It is surrounded by a complex neural network: each nerve cell in the gut is similar to the nerve cells in our brain and spinal cord. Yet, the gut is notoriously underrated.
Lactic acid bacteria are one of the most important natural inhabitants of the intestinal microbiome (gut flora). Since they form strong lactic and acetic acids, they create an acidic environment. Acidified dairy products such as yogurt, buttermilk and kefir, as well as sauerkraut, contain many of these live lactic acid bacteria. But the lactic acid bacteria that occur naturally in food are really sensitive. They do not like antibiotics, heat or moisture, and their bacteria counts drop dramatically during storage. In the body, lactic acid bacteria add stomach and bile acids. As a result, only about 10 to 40 percent make it to the large intestine alive.
Thanks to the enteric-coated capsules of Darmflora plus select, the lactic acid bacteria reach the intestine directly and, most importantly, are protected from stomach acid. The capsules are also temperature independent and don’t need to be cooled, making them ideal for use on the go.

Darmflora plus selected ingredients
One capsule contains 8 selected bacterial strains at a concentration of 12 billion lactic acid bacteria ( 48 billion (= 48 x 10 9 ) per day) as well as vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, biotin and folic acid.
According to the multi-species concept of Dr. Wolz, the preparation contains eight different bacterial strains, which represent a reasonable combination based on current research and are naturally present in different parts of the small and large intestines. We only use registered, genetically characterized lactic acid bacteria strains that are considered safe.
The eight existing lactic acid bacteria are:
- Lactobacillus acidophilus
- Lactobacillus casei
- Lactobacillus plantarum
- Lactobacillus rhamnosus
- Bifidobacterium bifidum
- Bifidobacterium lactis
- Bifidobacterium breve
- Streptococcus thermophilus
Four capsules contain 48 billion lactic acid bacteria as well as 1.1 mg vitamin B1, 1.4 mg vitamin B2, 1.4 mg vitamin B6, 2.5 mcg vitamin B12, 50 mcg biotin and 200 mcg folic acid.
The capsules are also vegetarian and gluten-free and contain no gelatin, milk protein, lactose, fructose, histamine, and coloring.
Darmflora plus select does not contain any histamine-forming bacteria or the lactic acid bacteria it contains do not contain any genes that promote histamine formation.
Consumption suggestions:
Take 4 capsules daily with liquid, with food. For long-term use, the dosage can be reduced to 2 capsules per day. Children aged 2 to 10 years only need half the amount. If necessary, the capsule can be opened by pulling it apart. During antibiotic treatment, Darmflora plus select should be taken as far away from antibiotics as possible.
