Natural sources of fiber

Dietary fibres are complex carbohydrates that are only found in plant-based foods. Unlike "normal" carbohydrates, such as those found in sugar or flour, we can hardly extract any energy from these "indigestible" dietary fibres. So why are dietary fibres so important - especially for digestion?

Dietary fibres are crucial for normal digestion. They regulate the passage of food through the intestine: In the case of constipation, dietary fibre can increase stool volume and soften the stool, making it easier to pass; conversely, in the case of diarrhoea, the high swelling capacity of dietary fibre helps to thicken watery stools.

Dietary fibres are essential, especially for the intestinal flora: certain types of fibre, such as corn dextrin and guar gum, are the basis of life for our tiny "helpers." A lack of fibre causes many intestinal bacteria to "starve". As a result, they can no longer fulfil their functions, such as absorbing essential nutrients from food, eliminating toxins and foreign germs that enter the intestine with certain foods, and ensuring the proper functioning of the immune system - 80% of the cells of which are located in the intestine. 

OMNi-LOGiC® FIBRE is suitable for daily fibre supplementation to provide the importantintestinal bacteria with sufficient nourishment as a basis for their life and toregulate digestion:

  • In cases of constipation, they can increase stool volume and soften the stool, making it easier to pass.
  • In cases of diarrhoea, dietary fibre can thicken watery stools due to its strong swelling properties.
  • Also suitable for children and pregnant women!

Recommended intake:
2 x 1 level measuring spoon (= 2 x 5 g) daily. If necessary, increase weekly by 1 level measuring spoon to a maximum of 5 level measuring spoons daily.

Mix one level measuring spoon (5 g) of powder into approx. 200 ml of liquid and stir until the powder has completely dissolved.

OMNi-LOGiC® FIBRE can be stirred into drinks, soups or yogurts without changing their taste or consistency.
