Quickly moisturizes and cares for tired eyes

HYLO CARE® provides daily comfort for your eyes. This moisturizing eye drop, with high-quality hyaluronic acid and panthenol, is ideal for daily relief of tired eyes and offers lasting protection against dryness caused by central heating, environmental factors, screen work, or wearing contact lenses. Thanks to the patented COMOD® system, each pump dispenses a precise single drop, making application easy and economical. One bottle contains at least 300 drops. The special COMOD® system effectively isolates air, ensuring the eye drops remain uncontaminated and can be used for 6 months after opening. Like all HYLO® products, HYLO CARE® is phosphate and preservative-free and well-tolerated. Additionally, these eye drops are suitable for use with soft or hard contact lenses.

Contains hyaluronic acid and dexpanthenol

HYLO CARE® provides moisture and protection for everyday eye fatigue. In addition to the moisturizing ingredient hyaluronic acid, this medical device also contains panthenol (also known as provitamin B5). Panthenol has excellent moisturizing properties and promotes the repair of damaged skin and mucous membranes. This provides the daily moisture and care needed for individuals with mild to moderate dry eyes. Panthenol also promotes the regeneration of the conjunctiva and cornea. Daily use of HYLO CARE® eye drops helps prevent dry eye symptoms.

Long hours in front of a screen cause dry eyes

Working long hours in front of a screen places considerable strain on the eyes. The intense light emitted by screens tires the eyes, and we blink much less than usual. Scientists have even named this phenomenon: Office Eye Syndrome. Due to reduced blinking, tear fluid cannot adequately moisturize the eyes, leading to increased dryness, causing symptoms like itching, redness, burning, or a foreign body sensation.

Dry indoor air

When heating and air conditioning are running at full speed, the air in offices and homes becomes increasingly dry. This low humidity causes the tear film to dry faster, making the eye surface more susceptible to irritation. Drafts can also accelerate tear film evaporation, causing uncomfortable symptoms like burning and itching in the eyes. To quickly alleviate symptoms of dry eyes, it's best to carry moisturizing eye drops with you.

Contact lenses

While contact lenses are convenient, they can also place an additional burden on the eyes. Normally, the lens floats in the tear film. If this protective layer is disrupted or breaks, the contact lens can rub against the eye, causing uncomfortable irritation. Additionally, soft contact lenses, if worn for extended periods, can absorb tear fluid like a sponge. HYLO CARE® provides deep hydration; thanks to the moisturizing ingredients hyaluronic acid and panthenol, it helps repair superficial damage to the eye.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is HYLO CARE® used for, and how often should it be used?
HYLO CARE® is used to moisturize the eyes and promote healing of the ocular surface due to dry eyes or after surgery. The dosage of eye drops depends on your individual needs and/or the advice of an ophthalmologist. Typically, one drop of HYLO CARE® is applied to the conjunctival sac of each eye three times a day. In severe cases, the frequency of use can be increased. If you use HYLO CARE® more than 10 times a day, please consult an ophthalmologist to determine the exact cause of your symptoms.

How can irritation caused by wearing contact lenses be avoided?
Absolute hygiene is crucial when inserting and removing contact lenses: thoroughly washing your hands and using dedicated care solutions to clean the lenses can prevent bacteria and pathogens from entering the eyes. Always ensure the lens is inserted correctly, front side out; otherwise, the lens will feel like a foreign body and rub against the surface of the eye. Do not exceed the recommended wearing time. If your eyes are tired or irritated, regularly wearing glasses can alleviate symptoms. This is especially important if you work in front of a screen for long periods. To prevent the ocular surface from drying out, use eye drops to keep your eyes moist.

What should contact lens wearers be aware of when using HYLO CARE®?
HYLO CARE® is suitable for both hard and soft contact lenses. After inserting contact lenses, it is recommended to wait approximately half an hour before applying the eye drops. This helps prevent potential adverse reactions due to interactions between contact lens care products and HYLO CARE®.

Application

Step 1:
Remove the protective cap before use.

Step 2:
Hold the bottle with the dropper tip facing downwards. Place your thumb on the shoulder of the bottle and your other fingers on the base.

Step 3:
Gently support the hand holding the bottle with your other hand.

Step 4:
Tilt your head slightly back and gently pull down your lower eyelid with your other hand. Firmly press the bottom of the bottle to dispense a drop into the conjunctival sac. Thanks to the unique COMOD® pump system, the exact amount of medication, just one drop, is dispensed with each press. Slowly close your eyes to allow the fluid to spread evenly over the ocular surface. Replace the dropper cap immediately after use.
